Nickel Alloy 41, Rene® 41

Hastelloy® C-276, which is also sold as Nickel Alloy C-276, is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy. Hastelloy C-276 is perfect for use in situations that demand protection from aggressive corrosion and localized corrosion attack. This alloy Other important features of Nickel Alloy C-276 and Hastelloy C-276 include its resistance to oxidizers like:

  • Ferric and cupric chlorides
  • Organic and inorganic hot contaminated media
  • Chlorine (wet chlorine gas)
  • Seawater
  • Acids
  • Hypochlorite
  • Chlorine dioxide

As well, Nickel Alloy C-276 and Hastelloy C-276 is weldable with all common methods of welding (oxyacetylene is not recommended).  Because of Hastelloy C-276’s outstanding corrosion resistant capabilities, it is used by a wide variety of industries for critical applications including:

  • Almost anything used around sulfuric acid (heat exchangers, evaporators, filters, and mixers)
  • Bleach plants and digesters for the manufacturing of paper and pulp
  • Components used around sour gas
  • Marine engineering
  • Waste treatment
